For those of you who aren't artists in the traditional sense, I'm defining "art" as any activity that makes you feel alive and fully engaged.  That's why I love this quote from Thomas Merton.  I believe that when you are involved in ANY activity that "enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time" you are doing art.  Further, this should be a sign to you that whatever this activity is, it should be done as often, and with as much enthusiasm, as humanly possible; for what you've found is JOY and there can't be too much of that in the world!
